MURRUMBEENA RESERVE

Public BBQ

Murrumbeena Reserve stands out among the region's excellent playground offerings with exceptional maintenance standards and thoughtful design. The modern equipment attracts children without overwhelming the space, while the absence of graffiti and rubbish reflects strong community pride. Two separate barbecue areas accommodate different group sizes, complemented by extensive off-leash areas for dogs. The combination of sporting oval, playground, and recreational space creates genuine multi-generational appeal. Basketball facilities and ample open ground support various activities from organised sports to informal dog training. While the off-leash areas occasionally conflict with scheduled sporting events, the park generally balances competing uses successfully. Additional shade would enhance comfort during peak summer periods, but the existing facilities consistently deliver quality outdoor experiences for Glen Eira families.
